The fish and shellfish proficiency skills diagnostic workshop will provide an opportunity to explore how key occupational units within both the Level 2 and Level 3 fish and shellfish frameworks for certificates, diplomas and apprenticeships can be applied to typical operations. This workshop will include highly participatory round table discussions with fish and shellfish facility owners/managers.
Note: Industry partners, government and educational representatives are welcome to observe the round table session for the purpose of obtaining information on how they may best assist the fish and shellfish industry with their training needs.

- How should or can an educational institution(s) be involved in the delivery of proficiency skills qualifications?
- How can government help? What roles should or can Labour and Advanced Education, the Nova Scotia Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency play in proficiency skills qualification and apprenticeships?
